From Morning to Evening

Sun rises in the east;
Cold air blows from old night.
The time the silence kissed.
Your sweet scent that is light.
Awakened by salty,
Saltier than your tea.

Voices begin to sound
And scents become stronger
As the sun leaves the ground.
The air becomes hotter,
But salty goes to wane;
Water flows down the drain.

Now, my day you can hear,
For we are friends so near;
How is your day, my dear?

Red rays on my shutters
As voices become tired.
Soft blanket goes nearer.
Smelling scent of the wired.
Eating milkfish so white.
It’s time for a new night.

Note: The poem above is in response to the post on the NaPoWriMo website titled, “Day 17.” The optional prompt for us today is to write a poem that describes something with at least three of the five senses.
